A pedestal sink is a great way to add some extra style to your bathroom, and with the right faucet, it can look even better. Here are some of the best faucets for pedestal sinks on the market today.
Whether you’re looking for a traditional design or something more modern, you’ll find a faucet here that’s perfect for your needs.
So don’t wait any longer – start shopping for your new pedestal sink faucet today!
Types Of Faucets
Pedestal sink faucets come in two main categories. There’s the traditional set-up which requires the faucet in the set center, with a handle on the left for cold water and a handle on the right for hot water.
But these days, that’s not your only option. You can now get single-hole faucets with just the one handle that you twist one way or the other for temperature and that you lift for more water volume.
There’s no real right or wrong here. If your pedestal sink already has three holes, then the traditional set-up is a breeze to install. But most people find the one-handle look more modern looking.
The decision between the two simply comes down to personal taste and how well it would go with the rest of the room’s decor.
Faucet Materials
Without question, the best faucet material has to be brass. It’s dense, sturdy, and designed to last, with minimal leaks or repairs required.
Your next best option would be stainless steel, which isn’t quite as expensive as brass but doesn’t have the same longevity.
Zinc and zinc alloy would be ok but would have to be replaced fairly often. But you should steer clear of plastic altogether.
Plastic faucets may be cheap, but they aren’t the least bit durable and would have to be replaced frequently.
Faucet Finishes
In addition to considering the type of faucet and the faucet material, you should also consider the finish. The finish not only determines the faucet’s aesthetic but also has implications for the faucet’s durability.
Chrome is inexpensive and easy to clean, not to mention tough to scratch or damage. Bronze finishes such as satin bronze or oil-rubbed bronze are more expensive, but they are durable and easy to clean.

Pedestal Sink Faucet Reviews
Kingston Brass Restoration 4-Inch Center Set Faucet
This beautiful center set faucet is rather unusual in that it features traditional-looking porcelain lever handles either side of the faucet, yet the faucet itself has a much more modern aesthetic, thanks to its unusual shape.
It’s available in several different finishes, namely polished chrome, brushed nickel, oil-rubbed bronze, and polished brass.
All of them are nice in their own right and would look good on a pedestal sink, but they are strikingly different.
It’s important to note at this point that the price varies according to the finish you go for.
It has a high quality brass construction, which, as I discuss in the buying guide later, is the best and most durable metal for a bathroom faucet.
And it comes complete with a matching pop-up, so you can close the drain from the faucet if you’re not ready to put your hands in.
It has a spout height of 8 inches and a spout reach of 16 inches. And not only does the faucet meet ASME standards and ADA guidelines, but it’s also compliant with California Energy Commission Title 20.

I just love the aesthetic of this faucet set – its matte black finish makes it look super modern, and would look great on any pedestal sink. Or, there’s also a brushed gold version available too, if you’d prefer that.
Besides the modern aesthetic, the other great thing about this faucet is the neoperl aerator.
It serves to provide a more restricted water flow, so that splashing is brought to a minimum, and the water is soft to the touch.
The two lever handles not only allow you to mix hot and cold water together to adjust the water temperature, but they can also be used to adjust the volume of water coming through.
What’s more, it also comes with both a metal pop-up drain cover, but also a catch strainer for cleaning the drain, and two faucet supply lines.
It’s constructed with a solid brass body, which, as I discuss in the buyer’s guide later, is the best material for faucets to be made from.
It also has a ceramic disc valve, which is excellent for preventing any unwanted leaks.

Best Faucets For Pedestal Sinks Buyer’s Guide
Aesthetic
When I discussed faucet materials and finishes earlier, I was concentrating on their properties in terms of durability.
However, with so many styles available, you have an array of options available with different aesthetics.
The key thing to consider when it comes to the aesthetic of your faucet is how well it goes with the rest of the room’s decor, whether it’s modern or traditional, and whether you prefer shiny or matte finishes.
Installation
Many pedestal sinks come with three holes, one for the faucet itself and two others for the handles.
But you can also get ones with just one hole for a faucet and handle combined. Simply choose the set-up that best matches your sink.
Water Flow Rate
Different bathroom faucets have different flow rates. The federal government has set a maximum flow rate of 2.2 gallons per minute.
But bathroom faucets can flow at rates as low as 0.8 gallons per minute without losing any water pressure.
Value For Money
Faucets can vary quite considerably in price, ranging from about $40 up to over $300. This is why I recommend that those of you on a budget check prices as you go along.
Wrap Up
To summarize, the main thing to look for in a faucet set for a pedestal sink is that ideally it should be made from brass.
As for the finish, however, you can simply select the one that best goes with the rest of the room.
You also need to consider how you’re going to install it, and measure the distance between the holes in the sink, so you can see which faucets will actually fit your pedestal sink.
All of the faucets I’ve reviewed here can easily be installed without having to call in a plumber.
