Perhaps your kitchen or bathroom faucet abruptly failed, sending you on the hunt for a replacement model. Since you don’t want to wait weeks for a replacement faucet to arrive, you decide to venture out to Lowe’s in search of a new model. As you meander through the aisles, you come across Allen + Roth faucets.
Key Points:
- Allen + Roth was founded in 1921 as a hardware and building supply store.
- They manufacture and sell home decor, kitchen and bathroom plumbing fixtures, lighting, and more via Lowe’s Home Improvement stores or online.
- Most of their faucets are made overseas to meet North American safety standards, although they can vary in quality for their affordable price range.
They come in beautiful designs at an affordable price, but before you commit to one, you decide to do a bit of research. So, who makes Allen + Roth faucets? Are they any good? Let’s find out!
Allen + Roth History
Allen + Roth dates back to 1921, when it was founded as a hardware and building supply store based in North Carolina. Today, the company offers its wares in Lowe’s stores throughout the country. Its offerings have branched from hardware and building supplies to home decor, kitchen and bathroom plumbing fixtures, lighting, and more.
Who Owns Allen + Roth?
Allen + Roth operates under Lowe’s Home Improvement as one of its signature brands. In addition to Allen + Roth, Lowe’s owns brands like Project Source and Aquasource. Allen + Roth faucets are primarily available from Lowe’s in-store and online. In addition to their presence in Lowe’s stores, customers can find these products from other sites, like Amazon.
Where Are Allen + Roth Faucets Made?
Like many faucets offered in the U.S. today, Allen + Roth faucets are manufactured overseas. Instead of building faucet parts and assembling them in the U.S., Allen + Roth outsource the process to various manufacturers worldwide.
The company purchases the faucets wholesale from various manufacturers around the globe, although most of the products come from China, Taiwan, and Malaysia. Because of this, the origin of your faucet may vary based on the particular model.
Despite being manufactured overseas, Allen + Roth products meet North American reliability and safety standards surrounding the sale and installation of drinking water faucets. These standards include lead-free requirements and drinking water safety standards.
Who Makes Allen + Roth Faucets?
As mentioned, Allen + Roth outsource manufacturing to other countries. So, while the faucet bears the brand name Allen + Roth, a manufacturer in another country made the product.
What Products Does Allen + Roth Offer?
Allen + Roth offers an extensive range of products, with many products outside the umbrella of faucets. The company provides a wide range of products, including the following:
- Home decor, including curtains, blinds, shades, rugs, accent pieces, mirrors, furniture, bedding, pillows, and throws
- Bathroom products, including storage cabinets, vanities, and medicine cabinets
- Lighting fixtures
- Kitchen products, including countertops, cabinetry, accessories (soap dispensers, etc.), and lighting
- Home organization and storage
- Patio accessories and furniture
- Flooring and wall tile
- Cabinets
Are Allen + Roth Faucets Good Quality?
Allen + Roth faucets seem to be of decent quality. Although they aren’t made of the highest-quality materials, they consist of decent-quality parts that hold up okay. The overall quality of these faucets seems to reflect the price.
Durability
Allen + Roth faucets aren’t the most durable faucet available on the market today. While these products usually offer decent durability, they don’t hold up quite as well or as long as higher-quality faucets.
That said, they’re surprisingly durable for the price, so if you’re looking for an inexpensive faucet that offers decent durability, Allen + Roth faucets might be a good option. The company offers various trending designs, including the high-arc design, popular in modern interior design themes.
Pricing
Allen + Roth can be considered a budget-friendly option, as many of its faucets are priced under $200. Many of its bathroom faucets feature a price tag between $50 and $100, while its kitchen faucets fall between $100 and $200. Compared to big-name brands like Kohler, Delta, Moen, and Kraus, these faucets are highly affordable.
Warranty
Allen + Roth faucets come with a limited lifetime warranty, which is impressive considering the average price range. The warranty is comparable to that of high-quality faucets, which often come with lifetime warranties.
Allen + Roth warrants each faucet to be free from defects in material and workmanship. The company guarantees these defects will not be present at the time of shipment from the factory. The warranty begins on the original date of purchase and only applies to the original consumer purchaser.
If a confirmed defect occurs, the manufacturer will correct the issue at no charge or replace the faucet with a comparable or superior model (at the manufacturer’s discretion).
Design Options
Like most faucet companies, Allen + Roth’s faucet lineup mirrors that of popular designs. If you’re looking for an out-of-the-box unique design, you probably won’t find it in Allen + Roth’s offerings. However, if you like the look of popular, modern faucet styles, Allen + Roth might have the perfect, inexpensive option to accommodate your tastes.
Allen + Roth might not be the best choice for you if you’re looking for a technology-packed faucet. While their selection features a few touchless options, there aren’t as many choices as you’d find at Moen, Kohler, or Delta.
Customer Reviews
Many of Allen + Roth’s faucets boast solid reviews with 4-5 star averages across hundreds of reviews. Many satisfied customers mention the low prices, easy installations, seamless usability, and sleek designs.
Of course, there are several products with less-than-stellar reviews. Many negative reviews mention issues with broken parts, leaks, missing pieces, and abrupt failure.
The reviews vary based on the product, with some models boasting exceptional reviews and others receiving primarily negative feedback.
Customer Service
Many customers report overall satisfaction with Allen + Roth’s customer service team, with mentions of prompt responses and helpful team members. As we sifted through countless customer reviews, we noticed that Allen + Roth’s customer service team responded to the vast majority of unhappy customer reviews.
On nearly every unsatisfied customer review, there is a response from Allen + Roth customer service representatives. In each response, the representative apologizes for the issue and asks the customer to call a given number for assistance.
Overall, Allen + Roth’s customer service team seems helpful, friendly, and responsive.
